Director of Construction – Build the Business, Not Just the Projects

Job Description:
There's a well-established construction business in CT and NY with the work, the team, and the executive support to grow. What they need now is the person to continue drive it forward.
This isn't a turnaround. The foundation is solid.
Commercial portfolio covers restoration, interiors, retail, office, institutional, and light industrial... with some high-end residential in the mix. The work is there. What they're building toward is aggressive regional expansion across Connecticut and New York, and they need a leader who's done that before.
You'd run 6-7 Project Managers directly. Full project lifecycle ownership... preconstruction through closeout... with the authority to set how things operate.
The growth mandate is specific: saturate and expand the CT/NY footprint. New client relationships, new market opportunities, and the strategic thinking to find them. You'd be partnering directly with executive leadership to set annual targets and build toward them... not inheriting someone else's plan.
This reports directly to the top. If you want proximity to decisions and room to actually build something, that's what's on the table.
Regional travel across CT and NY is part of the job.
If this sounds like the right move, reach out. I'll share the full picture... company, comp, and context... in a quick conversation.
